Jennifer joins the team in our Miami office after moving from New York City to pursue her career! Welcome Jennifer with us on this short Q&A…

Jennifer prepares for her first design presentation with One Line Design Studio.
Q. We are so happy to have you join our ‘One Liner’ team. What attracted you to our team and firm? I was attracted to the passionate and talented team. The team works on interesting properties and produces beautiful projects. It is important to me to work on an inclusive team that values culture while striving for both the overall firm’s success and contributing members’ success. I am excited to join a small and growing firm and contribute to the firm’s growth.
Q. You have such a fashionable background, what lead you to interior design? I’ve always had a passion for design across different mediums and the arts, and a deep fascination of interior design and architecture. After working as a buyer in the fashion industry for several years, I was primarily focused on strategic planning and manufacturing in my previous roles- I ultimately had the desire to step into a full-time creative role. I utilized the pandemic as a transitional period to enroll in design school and pursue my passion.
Q. What elements from your previous career do you believe will be a creative advantage working in interior design? There are many similarities in the business mechanics of a fashion house and design studio. These similarities cover branding, trend forecasting, procurement, textile and product development, and client relations, to name a few! I have many tools that I carry with me into my design profession.
Q. We hear you play tennis! Tell us about what got you into it and where you play in Miami. I love that it’s a social sport, which is also high-cardio – so I can get a great workout in without feeling like that I’m working out. Lately I have been playing on Key Biscayne but looking forward to exploring different courts across Miami!
Jennifer, a graduate of Parsons, New York and Boston Architectural College, brings over a decade of experience in the fashion design industry, merchandising and interior design of high-end residential, commercial and educational sectors. From New York City fashion houses to our Miami design studio, Jennifer joins the One Line team passionate about color, biophilic design and trend forecasting and shares a fresh perspective to the interior design field.
